 Teacher training 2023

Since the building was having new sewer pipes put in, we had our teacher training at Missy's house this year. 

We had many topics to discuss and dive into. A few of these were... Developmentally appropriate practice & best practices, the importance and science behind play, outdoor play benefits, assessments & COR Advantage, classroom schedules/routines and children dealing with trauma.

Thank you all for your understanding of how important ongoing professional development and training opportunities are for our teachers here at HDC!

Festival of Trees 2022

We were excited to once again donate to the Methuen Festival of Trees!

The last time we donated was pre covid in 2019 where we came in 3rd for a tree made by children! This year we brainstormed and decided to do a Jan Brett themed tree! The children worked very hard to make inspired ornaments by her wonderful winter inspired children's books. 

They came out so beautiful!

A big thank you to all of our families who donated items to put under the tree! We collected mittens, hats, books and stuffed animals!
