A little water damage...

A little water damage...
 won't hold us down!

Oh boy, what a few days we have had here at HDC. I walked into the school Tuesday morning to a complete waterfall happening in Jasmine's classroom and the floors in her room, Marcie's room and the hallway completely flooded. We had a frozen pipe burst from the subzero temperatures outside and water from the kitchen was pouring into the classroom. I want to thank all of our parents for being so supportive and understanding when we had to call everyone to pick up their children and to let them know we had to close for the day and the next.

Some of the aftermath...

We are so lucky to have such a great school community and we thank everyone who has reached out to us to donate new books and toys. We appreciate all of you so much!

We also appreciate all of our teachers who handled the situation and who stayed to help and clean up the mess.

Please bear with us while we get our school back in tip top shape. We will be getting the rug replaced in the hallway once everything has fully dried out and we will get Jasmine's class back together soon.

We thank all of our families for your patience during this time.

HDC Strong!
